Assassins Creed III
There was a lot of hype about this game. Especially since we ended with Desmond getting the apple and seemingly unable to stop himself from stabbing Lucy. We were treated with many tantalizing snipets and promises.
However, what we got was buggy gameplay, a totally revamped interface system that was so touchy it is almost impossible to use even if you could understand it, and a control system that didnt add anything to the previous games.
But lets talk about the good points. IF you elected to get the Special eddition, you got a Colonial Flag with Assassin Emblem, an Assassin's belt buckle, and a Connor statue. In my opinion the extras were better than the game..Anyway, The new graphics are really nice, but thats to be expected with a new game, and the voice acting is on par with the previous games. I was hoping for a little more Desmond Orientation in this game. What little we did get seems to be an afterthought.
The Bad and the Ugly,
There is really not more i can say at this point. but one thing i can mention is that the Almanac pages they added in are way too much of a pain. I see what they were trying to go for, but making all of them a moving target was a bad idea, You end up going through enemy "watch towers" just trying keep up with them. Between getting shot at, having the buggy controlls make you jump off rooftops to your doom. In the end they are not worth it.

This is a little known game that was originally release for the Pc. Not an A game to be sure. But fun in its own right. The game does a fairly good job for being a port but it has some major flaws. Bad voice acting, bad loading screens, however The animation is ok.
What they get right is the controls. They arent hard to learn and are fairly intuitive. The storyline is interesting. All in all not a bad game for what it is.

Its no surprise to the people who know me that i like horror. And let me tell you Dead Space 2 delivers. I know i have covered this game before, but this is a reoccurring tale of me starting a game, then having another game come out and before i realize it, I shelved the game to start the new one. I have brushed the dust off and started playing again. The controls are great and took no time at all to relearn. The thing that i like about this game, is that it truly is horrifying. Not just gore like most horror movies. Sometimes it is the lack of enemies that is truly scary.

I have preordered the Special edition of the Tomb Raider Reboot. From the Images i have seen The goodies are going to be just as good as the game. I am totally awaiting this game day release.
Ok, lets move on to equipment upgrades.
One of the major problems with my previous head set was that it was corded. Not that the cord was too short, but that i kept tripping over it when i wasnt using it. Which eventually led to the head set being physically damaged. They still sound great, but they dont fit quite as well anymore. So i Upgraded.
From what I can tell so far, this headset works pretty well. I havent used it very much to tell if its a battery hog, but its sounds great. I was able to get them on sale at my local gamestop! I can tell you that they are definately worth the money!

I have made the switch from TV To projector. And so far i am glad i did. This projector is bright and quite. The menus are fairly simple to use and the setup was straight forward. I had a few issues mounting it, but that was due to the mounting bracket i got. This is a great starter projector for those just setting up their home entertainment system.

Energy Take 5.1 Speaker set
What good is a receiver with out speakers. This is an excellent set of speakers which just recently came down in price giving you even more bang for your buck. Yes I know that this is a 5.1 set and the receiver is 7.2 which leads me too....
Energy CB-5 Bookshelf Speakers
These will make a nice addition to the above speaker set. I got these a few weeks ago and i can say i am truly happy with how they preform!
