Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 Headset:

I have to say I was very skeptical of this head set. I have tried other headsets and have been horribly disappointed in the past. Either they have broken from normal wear and tear within a week or the quality was so horrible back to the store they went. After I opened the box a red flag went up. The reason for my dismay, there were lots and lots of cords. Ok, maybe that’s exaggerating a little, but there are 5 connections that you have to deal with. First you have your red white plug-ins that give you your sound from either your audio out from your television, or they go in front of the audio in from your Xbox 360. (I chose the audio out since I can use it for my other gaming systems. ) Then you have the USB power cord, then there is the two 35mm audio in and mic connections. When I plugged everything in and actually sat down and used it I was surprised. The audio quality was amazing and being able to actually sit back away from the tv, (courtesy of the 16’ cord) was amazing. This headset is actually comfortable to wear. There is no grin and bear, no getting used to. They are comfortable out of the box. The only complaint that I got was that I was louder in the xbox live party than people using other head sets. All in all it gets a 10 out of 10 in the belldandy rating.

Dante's Inferno

Through me you go to the grief wracked city; Through me you go to everlasting pain;through me you go a pass lost souls. Justice inspired my exalted Creator. I am a creature of the Holiest Power, of wisdom in the Highest and Primal love. Nothing was made only eternal beings. And I endure eternally. Abandon all hope-Ye Who Enter Here. Inferno Canto III

Thats right, I finally broke down and bought Dante's Inferno! Let me just say that Hell just got elevated to a whole new level of creepy. The background is well, grotesque. Which you would expect in hell. There is perversion and darkness in every part of the level. I will say that it does pretty well in the graphics department.

Enemies. I am amazed on how well designed some of the enemies are. The unbaptised newborn, the Hell minions, Cleopatra and Marc Antony. Thats right, You get to fight the legendary Queen of the Nile and her Roman lover. (they are bound in the lust level of hell) Character designs are perversions of what they were in life. again, thats the norm for hell.

For following the poem., I am not sure., I can definitely say that it has the flavors of the poem but since the poem is over 789 pages long, I still have along way to go to finish it.

Game play. I hear its alot like God of War, Since I have never played God of War i really cant say. But it does have quick time events, and the controls are fairly straight forward. You have your speed attacks, heavy attacks, spells and abilities. All are fairly easy to use so it makes following the game all that more easy and enjoyable.

This game gets a 10 out 10

***UPDATE***
I beat the game last night. I will say that it deserves its m rating. but the graphics are beautiful. I am glad that you dont have to power up both sides to beat the game but it is must to level up at least one. I will say it makes life easier if you do indeed level up both. This game still gets a 10!

New Xbox 360

It was getting to be about that time when my old xbox was running the risk of throwing me a red ring so i decided to bite the bullet and buy a new one. (even though i was thoroughly yelled at by both my mom and girlfriend.) So i bought the new Halo Reach edition Xbox 360! Yeah me! I am currently downloading my DLC I deleted when i switched. This is going to take a while.

I also bought the limited edition Halo Reach Headset. I figured i might as well have my headset match my xbox. I have to say the Xbox is working quite well. My only complaint is that it doesn't use the Xbox 360 memory cards. Oh, well thats what jump drives are for right?

Bridging Your Wired Devices to your Desktop!

To set the scene, I have a 20gig PS3. Which means i have the Hardware Backwards compatibility built in. Awesome right? However, there is a downside to the twenty gig, no wireless internet. Due to sleeping / gaming conflicts with one of my room mates (apparently he wasn't impressed with me playing Assassin's Creed II at 2 am when he had to get up at 4:30am) I moved my HD TV down to my bedroom along with my game systems. (That was a job especially considering how many vintage systems that I have.) Which was fine for my Xbox 360 since my other room mate had the wireless adapter for it. However that left the problem of the PS3. After Thinking about it for awhile, some research into my old textbooks and my unwillingness to pay 30 dollars for a Game Bridge I came up with the following solution, use my tower as a bridge! I have both wireless and LAN ports in my home built desktop. (I was a fairly big PC Gamer in my youth and had to be prepared for any network) and i knew i could virtually connect the two ports. So here is my step by step guide for saving a few bucks and not have to buy more equipment.
(Note: I am assuming that the person trying to do this has some familiarity with computer hardware and networking. That you are also using Windows XP or Higher)
1. Connect your game station to your pc. (Note: If you are going directly to the PC you need to have a Cross over Cable connected and not a regular Cat 5e Cable. Otherwise you need to have a switch or router between the PC and Game System.)
2. Go to the Networking Connections page
2. Select the two connections that you are going to bridge. (Note: One of the connections has to have access to the internet.)
3. After highlighting the two connections, right click one of them and select Bridge Connections. (Be patient, it will take a bit.)
4. You will see that a new icon has appeared saying its a bridge. Turn on your gaming system and by the time it loads you should be all set!
5. Enjoy!

Note: Your internet is running through your pc, so if your downloading something don't expect to have a lot of bandwidth available on your gaming system.

HD TV

Although I got this awhile ago I failed to mention it. A few months ago I bought a Samsung 32" HD TV. The TV has top of the line specs. 1080p resolution, 240 refresh rate, digital tuner, and 4 HDMI ports. My Xbox 360 and my PS 3 both look great on it!

Final Fantasy XIII

I got my copy of Final Fantasy XII yesterday. From what i have seen so far, the game looks great. The graphics are beautiful, the game play is good, and the storyline so far has been decent. The issue i have so far with the game is that it constantly jumps between the 3 groups. I wish that it would just follow the main character like the previous 11 games. The combat system isn't bad, its like the system that Star Ocean IV has. This game has Belldandy's rating of 4.5 out of 5
